DSP Agent Training Institute

DSP Code of Ethics

The ethical principles that every DSP-certified education agent is expected to uphold.

The DSP Code of Ethics sets out the professional conduct standards expected of all DSP-certified education agents. These principles are embedded throughout the training programme and form a core component of the certification assessment.

  • 1. Accuracy of Information Certified agents must provide accurate, truthful, and verifiable information to students, universities, and regulatory bodies at all times. Agents must never misrepresent course details, entry requirements, fees, visa prospects, or institutional standing.
  • 2. Student-Centred Guidance The interests of the student must always be the primary consideration. Agents must provide guidance that is genuinely in the student's best interest, not driven by commission structures or commercial pressure. Recommendations must be based on the student's academic profile, career goals, and financial circumstances.
  • 3. Transparency and Integrity Agents must operate with full transparency in their dealings with students, institutions, and regulatory bodies. This includes clear disclosure of fees, honest communication about timelines and processes, and open handling of any conflicts of interest.
  • 4. Compliance Awareness Certified agents must maintain awareness of relevant UK regulations including UKVI immigration rules, GDPR data protection requirements, QAA quality standards, and institutional policies. Agents must never provide immigration advice unless separately qualified and registered to do so.
  • 5. Professional Conduct Agents must conduct themselves professionally in all interactions with students, institutions, and industry partners. This includes maintaining appropriate boundaries, respecting confidentiality, responding to communications promptly, and representing the profession with integrity.
